1. How visible are the incision scars from
common procedures such as liposuction, breast enhancement,
or eye surgery?
Scars are sometimes hidden but often times, they are
visible but very small. Each area that is treated will
generally have one scar that usually not be very noticeable
and most scars are very acceptable, even in those who
tend to form large scars.
2. I have heard of an unsightly pucker left
by many surgeons performing liposuction. Though the
fat is removed what is left is an unsightly pucker where
the other fat remains or builds up around it. How does
LaPeer ensure that this does not happen?
At Beverly Hill Premiere Plastic Surgery, we do not
perform aggressive liposuction surgery so these problems
do not occur. We perform body sculpting and view plastic
surgery as an art of shaping and contouring. We leave
some fat behind to prevent the puckering affect.
3. Is there pain or discomfort during surgery?
What is it like? Are there options that allow degrees
of discomfort and consciousness?
If pain is anticipated you will be asleep under general
anesthesia so there is no discomfort. If the treated
area is very small lighter forms of anesthesia may be
used. Your absolute comfort is out priority. After surgery
you will usually be given an oral antibiotic and pain
medication to ease any pain and reduce infection.
4. Liposuction generally promises permanent
results as long as there is no weight gain. Does that
include pregnancy?
It is always best to wait until you are done with having
children. Most people gain weight after pregnancy and
do not lose weight afterwards. Because of this you will
see bulges in unusual areas of the body. Because the
areas that were treated gain less rapidly than the untreated
areas, you may not be happy with the new look if you
gain weight.
5. Are the surgeons trained to accommodate
specific body types and facial structures for diverse
ethnicities with sensitivity to cultural norms? For
example the shape of an African-American woman would
differ from that of a Caucasian, and vice versa. The
same goes for eye surgery and many other procedures.
Our surgeons are highly qualified and have performed
procedures on several ethnicities. We are very familiar
with multi-cultural features and are sensitive not to
over westernize or produce overly European features.
On the contrary, we recommend features that are compatible
with your existing features.
6. Is surgery expensive and exclusive to the
privileged and affluent?
Prices of surgery range depending on the surgeries
complexity and the desired method. Some surgeries are
very affordable and for any procedure financing is available,
just ask about out financing programs. Some medical
procedures are covered by your health insurance so be
sure to inquire with your coverage plan first.
